1. About These Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Mentoric LLC ("we," "us," "our") governing your access to and use of the Mentoric game, website, and related services (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, clicking "I agree," or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Please also read our Privacy Policy carefully — it explains how we handle children's personal information.

2. Who Can Use Mentoric (Eligibility & Parental Consent)

Mentoric is an educational game designed for children, including children under 13.

• If you are under the age of majority in your country (typically 18), you may use the Service only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
• If you are under 13 (or under the higher age of digital consent in your country, up to 16 in parts of the EU), a parent or legal guardian must create or approve the account and provide verifiable consent as described in our Privacy Policy before any personal information is collected.
• Parents and guardians who set up or approve an account for a child agree to these Terms on behalf of themselves and the child, are responsible for the child's use of the Service, and are responsible for supervising that use.

By agreeing to these Terms, the adult account holder represents that they are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of any child using the account.

3. Accounts

• You may use the Service with a registered account (email and password, handled through Google Firebase Authentication) or, where offered, via anonymous play.
• Teachers may open a teacher account on the teacher dashboard to create classes, invite children with a class code, set assignments and see their class's progress. A teacher who invites children confirms that they are authorized by their school, or by the children's parents, to do so, and uses what they see only for teaching that class.
• Keep account login details confidential. The account holder is responsible for activity that occurs under the account.
• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe an account has been accessed without permission.
• We may refuse, suspend, or close accounts that violate these Terms or the law (see §11).

4. License to Use the Service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and play Mentoric for personal, non-commercial, educational use. Teachers may use it with their classes as described in §3. We may also offer the Service for institutional use under a separate written agreement.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved by us.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
• Cheat, exploit bugs for unfair advantage, or use bots, scripts, or automated tools (other than the in-game tools we provide) to interfere with gameplay or progress;
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, copy, scrape, or create derivative works from the Service or its content, except where the law expressly permits;
• Disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its servers, or networks (including our Firebase backend and asset infrastructure);
• Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices; or
• Upload or transmit malware, or any content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes others' rights.

Because the Service is used by children, we expect respectful, age-appropriate conduct at all times.

6. Educational Content — No Guarantee of Outcomes

Mentoric provides math learning content, an adaptive difficulty engine, tutorials, hints, and AI features (the homework scan and the dragon mentor's voice). We work hard to make the content accurate and effective, but the Service is a learning aid and we do not guarantee any particular educational result, grade, score, or level of improvement. The Service is not a substitute for a teacher, school curriculum, or professional educational assessment.

AI can be wrong. The homework scan reads pages and writes questions and hints with AI, and the dragon mentor answers with AI. We check what we can automatically, but a page may be misread, an answer may be wrong, and the mentor may say something inaccurate. Check important answers, and an adult should supervise a child's use of these features.

7. Virtual Items, Currency, and Purchases

The Service includes virtual items and in-game currency, such as gold, XP, wizard skins, scrolls/spell tiers, health potions, and similar features ("Virtual Items").

• Virtual Items have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are licensed — not sold — to you for use within the Service only.
• Gold and other Virtual Items are earned through gameplay and are not purchasable. We do not sell Virtual Items, loot boxes, or randomized rewards to children.

7A. Mentoric Plus

The core game is free. Math topics, tutorials and hints are available at no cost. A free account also includes a few homework scans each month.

Mentoric Plus is an optional paid plan. It includes:

• Homework quests - photograph a homework page and the child solves its exercises step by step inside the game (see §7B and the Privacy Policy for how images are handled). Plus raises the scan limit to a fair-use allowance (currently 10 scans a day);
• Parent report - a result sheet and progress reports for the parent;
• Test-focus mode - practice for an upcoming test;
• An optional 15-minute setup call with us.

Price and term. ₪237, paid once, for 90 days of Mentoric Plus for one child. The price shown before you pay is the full price; no VAT is added. It does not renew automatically and nothing is charged again. When the 90 days end, the account returns to the free plan and keeps its progress.

Who may buy. Only a parent, guardian, or adult account holder may buy. Children cannot purchase, and the purchase is made outside the Game. By paying you confirm you are 18 or older and authorized to use the payment method.

Payment processing. Payment is made on the payment page of our processor, Takbull, by card or Bit, under Takbull's terms. Takbull emails the receipt. We do not collect or store card numbers. After payment, we send a link that attaches Mentoric Plus to the child's account.

Refunds - 30 days, no questions asked. If you are not satisfied, email [email protected] within 30 days of payment and we will refund the full amount, whatever the reason. After 30 days, payments are final except where the law gives you a right to cancel or a refund. Your statutory rights, including those under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, are not affected. To report an unauthorized purchase (for example, one made by a child without permission), contact us and we will handle it in line with applicable law.

No outcome guarantee. Mentoric Plus does not carry any promise of educational results, gap closure, or grade improvement. See §6.

Changes. We may change, limit, or discontinue features of Mentoric Plus, but we will not unfairly remove features during a 90-day term you have already paid for, except as permitted by law. If we materially reduce Mentoric Plus during your term, you may ask us to refund the unused portion.

7B. Homework Scan — Uploaded Images

The homework scan feature lets you upload a photograph of a homework page so the Service can read the problems and help with them.

• Photograph the page, not the child. Do not upload photographs of people, identity documents, or anything other than the schoolwork itself.
• You are responsible for what you upload and confirm you have the right to upload it.
• Uploaded images are processed by third-party AI providers in order to read the exercises and build questions and hints. Photos are deleted within 3 days. See the Privacy Policy (§4.1a) for who processes them and what is retained.
• A free account gets a few scans each month; Mentoric Plus gets more (§7A). An adult should be present when a child photographs homework.
• We do not use uploaded homework images to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell them.
• You can ask us to delete uploaded images at any time at [email protected].
• The questions and answers built from a page may contain mistakes (§6). Your child's teacher remains the authority on their homework.

7C. Talking to the Dragon Mentor

The dragon mentor can talk with a child by voice during a fight. When the child taps the microphone, their voice is sent to an AI provider so the mentor can answer; we do not record it (see the Privacy Policy, §4.1b). Use it only to talk about the math on screen, and do not share personal details such as a full name, address or phone number. The mentor is an AI and can be wrong (§6). Microphone access can be turned off at any time in the device or browser settings.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and all of its content — including the math problems and notation, characters (such as the wizard and Archimedes the mentor), artwork, sprites, backgrounds, music, sound, voice, text, software, and design — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. "Mentoric" and our logos are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written permission. Any feedback or suggestions you send us may be used by us freely and without obligation to you.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, Google Firebase for accounts, database, and storage; analytics and error-monitoring providers; AI providers for the homework scan and the dragon mentor; an email provider; and the payment processor Takbull). Our marketing website additionally uses Meta's advertising-measurement pixel; it is not present in the game itself. Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers' terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control. See our Privacy Policy (§6) for what each provider receives.

10. Service Availability and Changes

We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any feature at any time, including changing game mechanics, content, or progression systems, with or without notice. We aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes where practical. The Service is provided on an ongoing basis and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

11. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, and a parent or account holder may request that we close an account and delete associated personal information (see the Privacy Policy).

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, or remove content, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, the license in §4 ends and you must stop using the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including §§7–8 and 12–16) will survive.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you, and nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law (including consumer rights).

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mentoric LLC and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, progress, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that the law does not allow to be limited. Consumer rights are not affected where the law gives you protections that override these limits.

14. Indemnity

If you are an adult account holder using the Service in a non-consumer capacity, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law. This section does not apply to consumers where prohibited by applicable law.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Tel Aviv, Israel. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections and the courts of the country where you live, and nothing here deprives you of those rights.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email to the account holder or a notice in the Game) and, where the change affects children's personal information, obtain any required parental consent before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date shows the current version.
